Toravaig House is an award-winning Hebridean hotel, offering innovative cuisine and an intimate atmosphere. The hotel is situated amongst the natural beauty of Skye, in the Western Isles of Scotland.
The individually designed bedrooms have original character and contemporary furnishings. All rooms have a private bathroom and stylish decor, and each features a flat-screen TV and tea/coffee facilities.
In the lounge, guests can relax beside a real log fire, whilst enjoying fine malt whiskies. The restaurant serves creative modern cuisine, featuring quality local produce, freshly caught seafood and home-grown herbs.
The small, romantic Toravaig House Hotel has 2 acres of leafy grounds, with magnificent views over the Sound of Sleat. The owners offer daily sailing trips around the Isle of Skye on their private yacht, exclusive to hotel guests. Toravaig House is located in the south of the Isle of Skye and there are plenty of wonderful long and short walks in the area, as well as a range of water sports. Local activities include the Clan Donald Centre with its beautiful gardens and the Clan Museum. Anne and Ken and their staff are more than happy to help you plan your day.
During your stay, you can explore the Isle of Skye and take a trip to the north of the Island. See Portree, which is the capital, a lovely fishing town, Staffin, the Old Man of Storr, the Quiraing or visit the castle and gardens of the Clan Macleod in Dunvegan. You could also visit Neist Point, the Point of Sleat, the Fairy Glen or the Talisker Distillery and Visitor Centre, where the famous Scotch whisky is made. Let an exclusive sailing trip on Solus na Mara, the hotel’s private yacht, be the highlight of your stay. From April to September, the hotel offers daily sailing trips, which take you either to the Outer Isles or into one of the sea lochs on the mainland. Sailings are weather dependant and the maximum number of guests is limited to 6, so booking is advisable.
