The D.Maria Bridge (also called the Roman Bridge by the inhabitants of the village, although it is not from Roman times) is a historic bridge located in the village of Santa Clara-a-Velha. It would have been built around 1758. The bridge degrading itself around the 1920s or 30s, until in 1942, the central part of the bridge collapsed completely. Nowadays, the continuous bridge is destroyed, but it is a must visit place for those who come to Santa Clara.
