Considered a district full of personalities who have made numerous contributions to the Lambayecan community.

Many years ago it was called “CHUSPO”, and it was located on the slopes of Cerro San Bartolo in the hamlet of Cayanca. But why is it somewhere else now? Some residents of Monsefú tell that many years ago in Chuspo

(Monsefú), there was a phenomenon which forced all the inhabitants to withdraw from the slopes of the hill where they were located to what is now Cayanca, but a few years later an epidemic appeared that took the lives of many people and those who did not. they were infected and they were left alive they went to live in what is now the beautiful district of Monsefú.

It is located 18 km. from Chiclayo. Its inhabitants stand out for being skilled craftsmen in the line of embroidery, marking and weaving in straw and loom.

In its countryside and in the town, rural recreation stands out where they offer a varied and delicious gastronomy.

It is very visited for the Fexticum in the month of July and for the Feria del Señor del Cautivo in the months of March and September.
